I met him at work.  Mum knows him as he was her boss when she worked there!  He told me he remembers me meeting Mum from work when Rebecca was just a baby.  Hope he hasn’t been stalking me like one of my friends has said!!  Hahahaha!!!

His name is Clint, he is 47, can drive, works full time amd rents a house 10 minutes walk from work, (not that he does walk mind you) lazy sod!  He gets on brilliantly with Rebecca, it’s like having two kids in the house when he is here!!  Which is fab as I know that if I ever needed him to look after her for me one day I wouldn’t have to worry about her.

We have been seeing each other since November last year, both as mad and loud, so lots of laughter and stupidness and never a dull moment!  I have met his friends and they are all fantastic and all want to adopt me and Reb!!

We’ve been out to dinner several times, the working men’s club (which he is a member of) most weekends and he always includes Rebecca, never expects me to leave her behind at all.  He tells me he loves me every day! Fool! He’s got it bad, but at the end of the day, what’s not to love about me!!!  Hahahaha!!!

At the moment, he doesn’t work at Morrisons as he is with the RAF Reserves, so during the week he is based at Brize Norton for training to go to Afghanistan to help with loading equipment onto planes that they will need out there.  If all goes well and he passes his medical, then in a few weeks he will be gone and return in late May.

He sees us every weekend when he comes home apart from last weekend as I banned him as I was ill!  Although he did turn up with a huge bunch of flowers sunday evening, didn’t have the heart to tell him I don’t really like them, but at least I can photograph them, (which I have done).  Will tell him next time I’d rather have a bouquet of Ariel and Lenor as that stuff is expensive and will definitely last longer!!!  Is that wrong??  Hahahaha!!

Oooooooo! And he is okay about my sewing, so much so he has asked if I will make him a quilt!  Let’s face it, if he didn’t like me doing it he’d be gone by now!!!    Although he hasn’t yet seen my fabric stash, will try and capture the look if and when he does!!!  ROFL!!!

So that’s my news!!  Hope you all haven’t been too bored and shocked!!

Last week I decided to go for a walk to my friend’s house via the local park and it just happened that it was a very cold frosty morning and I took my camera with me!!  So here are a few piccies for you to look at, I love them and can’t wait to get out there again.

I have finally been making a bit of progress with some sewing, not a lot but it’s just that I can’t decide what to do at the moment.  All that fabric and no clue what to do with it all.  Thankfully I have joined in with the PP UFO club, so that is keeping me busy for the time being.

The first two are finished now, these are soldier quilts, so just loaded onto the pile waiting for some new owners.

Work is still good, having lots of laughs with my two mad women, Maggie and Ilknur!!  Love working with them as we get so much done but manage to giggle the whole shift through too!!!  It’s never dull in the canteen when we are on I tell you!!

Rebecca is back to school tomorrow after a two week break, so we are both looking forward to that, reb so she can get to see her friends and me because I can play my music loud and when I go shopping it won’t cost as much as it has been!!!!!  Hahahaha!!

Am actually hoping to get some sewing done as haven’t been doing any for months, so many things I want to start but the UFO’s need to be shifted first as am sure I didn’t get them all done last year, so that would be a good start!!!

I was playing with the macro bit on my camera the other day and took a picture of this flower, I don’t like flowers but close up this is beautiful,

I have also decided that I will not be buying any fabric this year, for one I have found it to be really expensive at the moment and two I really do not need any!!!  Although saying that, there is still the FOQ to take into consideration, but that is a major treat day isn’t it!!!!!  Hahahahaha!!!    If I did buy any however, I will of course keep you informed!!!

Am off now to sort out my sewing table, so I can at least see it and hopefully get creating on it very soon!!!

Rebecca has now finished school for two weeks!!  The joy!    Speaking of madame, how lucky was she….  a big brown box was delivered a while ago and in it was a whole collection of Mini Morris fabrics which she had won from a Popular Patchwork competition, a metre piece of each fabric!!!!

Aren’t they lovely!!!

Here are some of the quilts I have managed to finish so far.  The green one is for my friend Maggie at work, she asked if I could make her one for her mum for christmas.  The small quilted panel is mine using sari silk, hand quilted a long time ago!!  The multi quilt was given to me by Mum and that is ready to go towards the H4H pile and the blue quilt was sent to me by Susan which is also for H4H.

Birthday pressies are next, was totally spoilt and had a lovely day, thank you to everyone!!  Money, fabric and maltesers from Mum.  Bubbly, fabric and MB from Suzanne & Richard.  Cold Feet DVD box set and tissues from Dad.  Chocolates & Hand lotion from Maggie.  Hat and scarf From Ilknur.  Slipper boots from Reb.  Choccies, Perfume and Pooh Bear from Clint. My beautiful bag from Zana, she gave me money and I went to Next to buy this beauty!!! How lucky was I!!!

This is my favourite hanging so far!!!  My Peacock!!  I bought this pattern a few years back when we went to the FOQ and have finally finished it, have never beaded so much on one thing!!!  Absolutely love it!!!  Thanks for all the beads Mum!!!!

My Round Robin Quilt.  This was a private swap between myself, Mum, Marian and Joan. 

We each chose our own centre block to do then posted to each other adding a border on the way, finally returned and here is mine, again I love it and would definitely like to do it again next year!!!!  You up for it ladies????

Work has been a bit annoying as my shifts have been altered and I seem to have had a lot of weekends off recently, I know I shouldn’t moan about it but I wake up every day now and have no idea if I am working or not, let alone what day it is!!!

I haven’t even started any christmas shopping either, so that should be interesting as it will soon be here!!  ARGH!!!  I did make my list today though, so it’s a start!!

Not much sewing has been going on, as have been going out with friends and giggling lots, all I have been doing is finishing a few quilts so that is something.  Just have to take some pictures of them and then you will see them all! 

It was my birthday yesterday, so lots of lovely pressies to be looked at, eaten, drunk and used!!!!  Hahahaha!!  And a nice wodge of money to spend!  Lovely!!

I have decided that as I am on holiday this week, we shall be getting the christmas decs down and bunging them up over the weekend, and then it might encourage me to get a move on and we can snuggle and watch christmas films!!!!!  It’s gonna be a good weekend!!!

Rebecca is now back at school! )))))))  Uniform looks very smart although still cross with them for making me waste my money last year, oh well, not to worry, what’s done is done.

I have been catching up with some of my friends who I haven’t seen in ages, so for a few days I haven’t done anything apart from laugh, a few sad moments but then mad laughter again!!!  All is good.

Rebecca has been very lucky recently, as she was sent a cross stitch picture from Maggi, who was so kind to think of Reb whilst she was at a show, can you see the resemblance!!!!!  Thank you Maggi, she absolutely loves it and is looking forward to starting it when she has finished all the ones she has on the go!!!!

I received a lovely item in the post last week.  I saw some wool in town and Mum told me that Liz makes scarves with it, so she asked her if she would make me one and lucky for me she said yes, isn’t it gorgeous!  Cannot wait until I can wear it, little bit too warm still at the mo, but am sure that will all change soon enough. Thanks Liz, I love it!!

I have a few more items to put on later in the week, as need to take the piccies first, but hopefully there should be some good tree shots as I am keeping an eye on my favourite one this year, am determined to get it in it’s gorgeous colour!!!!

All of these quilts needed a label.  7 of them!!!  Last night with a glass or two, (make that three) of red wine, 5 of them were done!!!  Last one finished this evening and all back on top of the wardrobe and now time to carry on with all the outstanding projects from earlier in the year!!  Oh what to work on next?
