Well here we are again ready for the something else!!! Hahahaha!
On Tuesday this week I took Reb to London for a day out.
We went to Buckingham Palace for a tour of The State Rooms and ‘The Dress’. It was amazing!
The rooms are gorgeous and so much gilt in them, very posh. The ceilings are WOW!!! We bought a souvenir book as you weren’t allowed to take photographs. 😦 Not too worry though as the book is definitely worth the money.
I assumed when you got in the palace that a guide took you round and told you about it all, but it wasn’t! We were each given a set of headphones and a little unit which talked us through room by room, a brilliant idea as you could then take your time and go round it at your own pace, and it was so quiet! Bliss!!
When we got to ‘The Dress’. That was fabulous! I cannot believe how tiny she is though!! It was very beautiful and definitely worth going to see as it is only there for a while and then who knows where it will end up. The wedding cake was huge!! Much admiration to the chefs who made it and for all the different handmade flowers that were on it, as I know how hard they are to make!
When we had finished at the palace, we walked to Westminster Abbey as again Reb wanted to see it, we didn’t go in though as not enough time or funds, maybe next time!!! 🙂 That was very impressive too. We saw Big Ben and The London Eye just around the corner. Then we got the tube back to Leicester Square and had dinner at Bella Italia, a pizza each and a yummy chocolate dessert each!! Fantastic!!! A quick find of Trafalgar Square, some photo opportunities and then back to Euston to get the train home! Phew!! We got home at 10pm! An excellent day, even though the weather was typical british, but I don’t let a little thing like rain prevent me from going out!!! 🙂
Hurrah also for having a fantastic zoom on my new camera, without it I wouldn’t have been able to take such great pics with the other one!! (If you click on the small pictures they will get bigger)

What a lovely day out. That is one happy young lady, and I bet you felt good too in spite of the rain. Glad to see the new camera is getting plenty of use. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Looks like a lovely day out – is it me or has Reb grown recently? I think she’s changed from being a little girl to an almost teenager – the shape of her face seems to have changed but it could just be the fantastic photos your new camera takes! I’m impressed she was allowed to hold some of the lace – is it true the ladies didn’t know what it was for and that they had to wash their hands every 30 minutes to keep it pristine?
It is H. we had a lovely chat with those ladies about it. The shoes were pretty last minute stuff too.
